Trough Creek Covered Bridge, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania

FROM PENNDOT Historical Bridge Data: 'The 1935, 61'-long, steel stringer bridge supported on ashlar abutments was replaced in 1997, subsequent to the field visit.' PENNDOT says bridge was "replaced" and other sources say it was rehabbed or reconstructed. Either way the new glue laminated wood design looks true to 1997 when PENNDOT marketed this material for its ease of construction, a PA made material and natural looking.
