Rockland Grist Mill Covered Bridge, Baltimore County, Maryland

The Rockland Grist Mill Covered Bridge is a small covered pedestrian footbridge on the grounds of the Rockland Grist Mill complex in Brooklandville, Baltimore County, crossing a run-off channel at the site. The 14-foot single-span stringer bridge remains standing as part of the historic mill property, which sits at the intersection of Falls Road and Old Court Road where Jones Falls crosses the old Falls Turnpike. The mill itself dates to approximately 1806-1812, when it was built as a flour and corn mill on Richard Gist's estate; it later served as a print works, dye works, and cotton mill before being converted to office use following renovation between 1978 and 1992. The mill complex is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Rockland Historic District (1973).
