Perreault Covered Bridge, Beauce County, Quebec
Pont Perrault, built in 1929, spans the Chaudiere River in Notre-Dame-des-Pins, Beauce County, Quebec, and at 495 feet is the longest covered bridge in the province. It replaced an earlier covered bridge constructed in 1926 that was destroyed by spring flooding in 1928. The bridge has undergone renovation using internal modular steel truss support and remains a major tourist attraction.
