Hartland Covered Bridge, York County, New Brunswick

The Hartland Covered Bridge is the world's longest covered bridge at 1,282 feet in length. Located in Carleton County, New Brunswick, it crosses the Saint John River, joining the communities of Hartland and Somerville. The bridge was constructed by the Hartland Bridge Company, formed by citizens on both sides of the river, and officially opened on July 4, 1901.
