Swann or Joy Covered Bridge, Blount County, Alabama
The Swann Covered Bridge is a wood-and-metal combination covered bridge spanning the Locust Fork of the Black Warrior River in Blount County, Alabama. Built around 1933, it is the longest surviving covered bridge in the state at 324 feet long. The county-owned bridge is also known as the Joy Covered Bridge or Swann-Joy Covered Bridge. It was restored in 2012, with the east approach reopened on May 13, 2014.
