Sky Valley Stables Covered Bridge, Rabun County, Georgia
The Sky Valley Stables Bridge crosses Mud Creek near Dillard in Rabun County, Georgia. It was built by Frank Rickman of Clayton, GA in the mid-1970s as the intended entrance to the Sky Valley resort but was not permitted for highway use. The Georgia Department of Transportation refused to allow it due to safety concerns regarding sight distance on the approach curve. The bridge is now abandoned.
