Red Oak Creek Covered Bridge was built in the 1840s by Horace King, a freed slave and noted bridge engineer. Constructed using Town lattice design, the bridge spans Red Oak Creek in Meriwether County, Georgia, and is documented as the oldest and longest wooden covered bridge in Georgia at 391 feet including approaches.
