McAfee Covered Bridge, Fulton County, Georgia
McAfee Bridge was a covered toll bridge built in 1843 across the Chattahoochee River near Roswell, Georgia. During the Civil War, the bridge was strategically significant and was occupied by Union forces under General Kenner Garrard during Sherman's campaign toward Atlanta. Stone remnants from the bridge's abutments persist at the river site.
