Lake of the Woods Covered Bridge, Champaign County, Illinois
The Lake of the Woods Covered Bridge was built in 1960 by a UI civil engineer and designed as a replica of the Pepperell Bridge near Boston. It spans the Sangamon River to connect both sides of Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve in Mahomet and is Champaign County's only covered bridge.
