Newport or Morehead Covered Bridge, Vermillion County, Indiana
Newport Covered Bridge is a Burr Arch Truss bridge built in 1885 by Joseph J. Daniels, spanning 180 feet across the Little Vermillion River northwest of Newport, Vermillion County, Indiana. It features a single span with sandstone abutments and is 16 feet wide. The bridge floor was replaced in 1984 and has been in continuous service on a main road since its construction.
