Offutt's Ford Covered Bridge, Rush County, Indiana
Offutt Covered Bridge is a historic Burr Arch covered bridge located near Rushville in Posey Township, Rush County, Indiana, spanning the Little Blue River. Built in 1884 by Emmett L. Kennedy and his brother Charles, it is the sole surviving bridge from the Kennedys' peak construction period (1881-1884) in Rush County. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It was destroyed by fire on September 23, 1995, and subsequently restored in 1998.
