Vermont or Kokomo Covered Bridge, Howard County, Indiana

The Vermont Covered Bridge was constructed in 1875 by Smith Bridge Company of Toledo, Ohio using Smith Type #3 Truss construction. Originally located in the town of Vermont, Indiana, the bridge was relocated to Highland Park in Kokomo, Indiana in 1957 to save it from being inundated by a proposed reservoir, spanning Kokomo Creek at the west end of Deffenbaugh Street.
