Duck Creek Aqueduct or Canal Covered Bridge, Franklin County, Indiana
The Duck Creek Aqueduct is a covered wooden aqueduct carrying the Whitewater Canal over Duck Creek in Metamora Township, Franklin County, Indiana. Built in 1846 by the Whitewater Canal Company and completed in its current covered form in 1847, it is the only surviving covered wood aqueduct in the United States. The structure was rebuilt in 1949 and remains open to canal traffic.
