Imes or King Covered Bridge, Madison County, Iowa
Imes Bridge is a wooden covered bridge built in 1870 by John P. Clark in Madison County, Iowa, featuring a Town lattice truss overlaid by a queenpost truss frame. Originally spanning the Middle River, it was relocated to Clinton Creek in 1887 and again to its present location over a natural ravine near St. Charles in 1977. The bridge was renovated in 1997 and remains the oldest of the surviving covered bridges in Madison County.
