Hemlock Covered Bridge, Oxford County, Maine

The Hemlock Covered Bridge in Fryeburg, Oxford County, Maine, built in 1857, is a Paddleford truss strengthened with laminated wooden arches. It spans 109 feet and crosses the Old Course of the Saco River near the western shore of Kezar Lake. The bridge was reinforced in 1988 to accommodate local traffic.
