Augusta Covered Bridge, Kalamazoo County, Michigan
Built in 1973 by Doug Carrigan, the Augusta Covered Bridge is a 32-foot timber structure with Stringer trusses spanning Augusta Creek at the entrance to Michigan State University's W.K. Kellogg Experimental Forest. The bridge measures approximately 12 feet in width and 12 feet in height, standing about one foot higher than the original bridge, and features folding doors and shuttered openings at both ends.
