Locust Creek or Denmar Covered Bridge, Pocahontas County, West Virginia
The Locust Creek Covered Bridge, built in 1870 by R. N. Bruce using a Warren Double-Intersection truss design, spans Locust Creek near its mouth on the Greenbrier River at Denmar, approximately 6 miles outside Hillsboro. The bridge is 114 feet long and 13.5 feet wide, and is the only remaining covered bridge in Pocahontas County, West Virginia. It was rebuilt in 1888 and again in 2002. It is now restricted to pedestrian traffic only.
