Cox Covered Bridge, Jackson County, West Virginia
The Cox Covered Bridge was built in 1884 by the Diltz and Steel Company using a variation of the Vinton County Queenpost truss system. The 40-foot span crosses Brushy Fork and is the shortest covered bridge in Vinton County. In August 1992, the bridge was relocated 20 feet north and is no longer open to vehicular traffic.
