Sayres or Thetford Center Covered Bridge, Orange County, Vermont

The Thetford Center Covered Bridge, also known as the Sayre Bridge, was built in 1840 and carries Tucker Hill Road across the Ompompanoosuc River in Orange County, Vermont. It is Vermont's only known example of the Haupt patent truss system and remains one of two covered wood bridges in the town of Thetford.
