Mount Orne Covered Bridge, Coos, NH / Essex, VT County, Vermont

The Mount Orne Covered Bridge spans the Connecticut River between Lancaster, New Hampshire (Coos County) and Lunenburg, Vermont (Essex County), measuring 266 feet in length. Built by Charles Babbitt, the first bridge at this site was constructed in the 1860s or 1870s. A toll house historically stood against the Vermont portal.
