White Rock Forge Covered Bridge, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania

The White Rock Forge Covered Bridge spans the West Branch of the Octoraro Creek in southeast Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Originally constructed in 1847 by John Russell and Elias McMellen, the bridge was destroyed by flooding and rebuilt in 1884. The wooden Burr arch truss structure measures 103 feet in span with a 13-foot clear deck width, features double Burr arch trusses with steel hanger rods, and is finished with traditional red exterior paint.
