Kurtz's Mill or Baer's Mill Covered Bridge, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania
Photograph: Brian Gregory
Built in 1876 by W. W. Upp over the Conestoga River, this single-span Burr arch bridge with wood construction was damaged in the 1972 Hurricane Agnes flood and subsequently moved in 1974 to its present location over Mill Creek in Lancaster County Park, where it was rebuilt in 1975. The bridge features double burr arch trusses with steel hanger rods and an oak plank deck, and is painted traditional red.
