Knox or Valley Forge Covered Bridge, Chester County, Pennsylvania

Originally built in 1851 by Ferdinand Wood as a single-span Burr truss bridge over Valley Creek, the Knox or Valley Forge bridge was destroyed by flood in 1865 and rebuilt that same year by Robert Russell. The current standing structure is the post-1865 version, which was damaged by fire in 1958 and completely restored in the summer of 1996, with additional restoration work completed in 2016.
