Christman Covered Bridge, Preble County, Ohio
The Christman Covered Bridge was constructed in 1895 by Everett S. Sherman using a Childs truss design over Seven Mile Creek northwest of Eaton, Ohio. Built in wood despite county debate over wooden versus iron construction, the bridge was selected for Sherman's reliable reputation rather than lowest bid criteria.
