Sugar River Covered Bridge, Sullivan County, New Hampshire

The Pier Covered Bridge is a historic covered bridge in Newport, New Hampshire, built in 1907 by the Boston & Maine Railroad to cross the Sugar River. It features a double Town lattice truss with a laminated arch designed by and purchased from Western Wood Structures, with construction completed by Brent & Josh Stocker. The bridge is one of only two surviving covered railroad bridges from the original thirteen Concord & Claremont Railway Co. bridges in the area and now serves as part of the Sugar River Recreational Rail Trail.
