Cornish - Windsor Covered Bridge, Windsor County, Vermont

The Cornish–Windsor Covered Bridge is a two-span timber Town lattice truss bridge built in 1866 that crosses the Connecticut River between Cornish, New Hampshire, and Windsor, Vermont. The bridge is 449 feet long and 24 feet wide, making it the longest surviving covered bridge in the United States. It operated as a toll bridge from 1866 until 1943 and was designated a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark by the American Society of Civil Engineers in 1970 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. The bridge was completely restored in 1989.
