Whittier or Bearcamp Covered Bridge, Carroll County, New Hampshire

The Whittier Bridge, a single-span Paddleford truss with laminated arches, spans 133 feet across the Bearcamp River in West Ossipee, Carroll County, NH. Built circa 1870, the bridge was removed from the river in 2008 and placed on blocks in a field awaiting restoration funds. In September 2020, it was returned to its abutments to begin rehabilitation, completing the restoration by 2021. The bridge is now closed to motor traffic.
