Cedar Covered Bridge, Madison County, Iowa
The original Cedar Covered Bridge was built in 1883 by Harvey P. Jones over Cedar Creek near Winterset, Iowa, and was moved to its current location in 1921. The bridge was destroyed by arson on September 3, 2002, and subsequently rebuilt in 2004 using authentic materials and techniques. It was again destroyed by fire in 2017 and rebuilt in 2019.
