Wolf Covered Bridge, Knox County, Illinois

The Wolf Covered Bridge (originally known as Middle Road Bridge) was built in 1848 by Jacob Wolf to span the Spoon River in Knox County, Illinois near Yates City. The bridge was covered in 1874. The original structure was destroyed by arson on August 20, 1994, but was later rebuilt in 1999 to preserve its historical significance.
