Jackson Covered Bridge, Cumberland County, Illinois
The Jackson Covered Bridge is a single-span Burr arch bridge spanning the Embarras River in Cumberland County, Illinois, near Greenup and Annapolis. Built to replicate the original 1832 structure, the modern reconstruction measures 200 feet in length and is the longest single-span covered bridge without load restrictions, capable of supporting fully loaded semi-trailer trucks while accommodating one lane of traffic.
