Captain Swift Covered Bridge, Bureau County, Illinois
The Captain Swift Covered Bridge near Princeton, Illinois spans Big Bureau Creek and is the only two-lane covered bridge in Illinois. Built in 2006 from wood (Douglas Fir), it was constructed using a patented Theodore Burr design.
