Hammond Covered Bridge, Rutland County, Vermont

The Hammond Covered Bridge is a single-span Town lattice structure spanning Otter Creek in Pittsford, Vermont, built in 1842 by Asa Nourse. The bridge was swept 1.5 miles downstream by a flood in 1927 but was successfully returned to its original location. It was acquired by the state in 1961 and is now closed to vehicle traffic.
