Lowell Covered Bridge, Lane County, Oregon
Built in 1907 by Oregon bridge builder Nels Roney, the Lowell Bridge is a 165-foot covered bridge spanning Dexter Reservoir on the Middle Fork Willamette River in Lane County, Oregon. The original structure lasted over 30 years before increased wear and truck traffic damage prompted replacement; it was bypassed by a concrete bridge in 1981. A commemorative sign in Lowell City Park marks the historic structure.
