Blenheim Covered Bridge, Schoharie County, New York

The Blenheim Covered Bridge, built in 1855 by Nicholas M. Powers, spanned Schoharie Creek in North Blenheim, New York with a single span of 210 feet using a Long & Double Arch truss system. It was the longest single-span wooden covered bridge in the world and served the county for over 150 years before being destroyed by Hurricane Irene on August 28, 2011. The bridge was reconstructed and reopened in 2019.
