Arthur A Smith Covered Bridge, Franklin County, Massachusetts

The Arthur A. Smith Covered Bridge is a Burr truss bridge built in 1869 to carry Lyonsville Road across the North River in Colrain, Massachusetts. Originally constructed at a different location near Fox Brook, it was moved to its present site in 1896 after rehabilitation. The bridge was substantially rebuilt in 2007 following removal from service in 1982, and reopened to traffic in 2021. As of 2020, it has a 13 ton weight limit and 9' clearance.
