Old Union Crossing Covered Bridge, DeKalb County, Alabama
The Old Union Crossing Covered Bridge is a privately owned wood and metal combination structure spanning the West Fork of the Little River in DeKalb County, Alabama. Originally constructed around 1863 by Union Army troops, it was moved from Lincoln, Alabama to its current location near Mentone in 1972 and rebuilt in 1980 over a 90-foot uncovered bridge built on I-beams, at which point its designation changed from 01-25-02 to 01-25-A. The bridge underwent further restoration in 2017.
