Portland Mills or Dooley Station Covered Bridge, Parke County, Indiana
Portland Mills Covered Bridge was constructed in 1856 by Henry Wolf as a single-span Burr Arch Truss design. Originally spanning Big Raccoon Creek in the northeastern corner of Parke County, the bridge was moved in 1960-1961 to replace the Dooley Station Bridge after it was destroyed by fire. The bridge was damaged by arson again in 1989, but was restored and reopened to traffic in 1996.
