Johnson Creek Covered Bridge, Robertson County, Kentucky
The Johnson Creek Covered Bridge is a Smith truss bridge built in 1874 by Jacob N. Bower, located north of Blue Licks Battlefield State Park in Robertson County, Kentucky. It is the only known example of Robert Smith's truss system in Kentucky and the only extant covered bridge known to have been built by Bower. Iron rods and wooden arches were added to the bridge in 1914. The bridge was closed to motor traffic in 1966 and remains closed to vehicular traffic.
