Bennett Mill Covered Bridge, Greenup County, Kentucky
Built in 1855, Bennett's Mill Covered Bridge is a 155-foot single-span Wheeler truss bridge crossing Tygarts Creek in Greenup County, Kentucky. The bridge retains its original footings and frame, and was defended by two hidden cannon during the American Civil War. It is the only surviving example of this truss type in the region. The bridge was rebuilt in November 2003.
