Carrollton Covered Bridge, Barbour County, West Virginia

The Carrollton Covered Bridge spans the Buckhannon River in Barbour County, West Virginia. Built in 1856 by Emmet J. O'Brien and Daniel O'Brien, it is a multi-kingpost Burr-arch truss bridge measuring 141 feet in length. The bridge was severely damaged by arson fire on August 10, 2017, and subsequently restored by the WVDOH, with refurbishment completed by January 1, 2024. The bridge remains in use today.
