Sachs Covered Bridge, Adams County, Pennsylvania

The Sachs Covered Bridge is a Town truss covered bridge over Marsh Creek in Adams County, Pennsylvania, built circa 1854. The bridge gained historical significance during the American Civil War when both Union and Confederate forces used it during the Battle of Gettysburg in July 1863. After sustaining severe damage in a 1996 flash flood, the bridge was restored and rededicated in 1997.
